Data for the paper entitled: "Plant killing by Neotropical acacia ants: ecology, decision-making and head morphology".

It includes four excel files: 1. Info of the plant parts where three different Neotropical acacia ants pruned herbaceous and woody saplings; 2. The measurements of thickness of different plant parts of the grass nodes; 3. The thickness of different plant parts of the woody saplings; 4. the measurements of head length, head width, head broadness(lenght to width) for seven species of Pseudomyrmex ants with different types of associations with plants, and different demands on mandible force.
