Dataset: Fall litterfall and LAI of forests in the SERC Chronosequence

Litterfall and Leaf Area Index (LAI) from 1987-2020 in plots of the SERC forest Chronosequence based on September-December collections. Litter was sorted and oven-dried by tissue and major species groups. LAI was calculated from sample dry mass using species-specific factors.
