Seasonal CO2 cycle at the martian poles revealed by sounding radar [dataset]
SHARAD calibrated surface echo data accompanying the manuscript Jawin et al., Seasonal CO2 cycle at the martian poles revealed by sounding radar. Dataset includes csv files of median surface echo power in 0.5-degree bins within 5 degrees latitude of the south and north poles of Mars, in timesteps of 20 degrees of solar longitude (Ls). For additional details, please see the full article.
Gifs are provided showing the changing power at each timestep of 20 degrees of Ls including power histograms, maps of power, and maps showing the change in power (the difference in power between at each timestep and the annual minimum power at each pixel).
To view a gif on a Mac: download the file, right-click on the filename in Finder, choose "Open with" and select a web browser such as Safari, Firefox, or Chrome.
