Proteins extracted from membranes present within the shells of Ecphora were extracted with either hydroxylamine or TFA using the SPEED method. They were searched against Conus betulinus, Conus consors, Conus tribblei, and Conus ventricosus databases generated with GeMoMa 1.9.
