Total number of new recruits to 20-cm height, total number of individuals of all heights, and standard diversity metrics calculated at the Q20 spatial scale for each census year. Q20s refer to 20 x 20 m quadrats within the Barro Colorado 50-ha Forest Dynamics Plot. Each 20 x 20 m quadrat contains 16 1-m2 seedling plots. Means (1 SD) over 18,434 Q20s are presented for diversity metrics.
